- Explore the beautiful Garden of the Gods Park, a registered National Natural Landmark. Experience the dramatic views, towering rock formations, and snowcapped Pikes Peak as it poses majestically against brilliant blue skies. Stop at the Visitor Center to learn more about the park and rock formations and to enjoy a bite to eat at the café.
- Enjoy incredible views from the top of Pikes Peak, 14,110 feet above sea level. The beauty from the top inspired Katharine Lee Bates to compose “America the Beautiful” more than 100 years ago. If you’d rather leave the driving to someone else, take the exciting Pikes Peak Cog Railway—the world’s highest cog railroad, the highest Colorado railroad, and the highest train in the United States.
- historic Manitou Springs, listed on the National Register of Historic Districts. The downtown area is full of galleries, boutiques, specialty shops, and restaurants. Several of the original springs have been restored for public consumption, and the waters are available free to the public. Walking tours are held every summer, or you can tour the springs at your own pace.
