Gettysburg Must See Sights
On Your Own Suggestions
- Visit the Eisenhower National Historic Site, home and farm of president Dwight D. Eisenhower. Adjacent to Gettysburg Battlefield, the farm served the President as a weekend retreat and meeting place for world leaders. Tour the home, take a self-guided walk around the farm, or join a Ranger-led program.
- Relive the Civil War at the General Lee’s Headquarters Museum. Located in the same stone house that General Robert E. Lee occupied during the battle of Gettysburg in 1863, you can learn about one of the most significant events in American history and see artifacts that tell the stories of the people that fought the battle.
- Explore Boyds Bear Country, the “World’s Most Humongous Teddy Bear Store.” Participate in fun activities, enjoy live entertainment, shop till ya’ drop, learn about company founder Gary Lowenthal at the free museum, and enjoy a hearty home-cooked meal.
